Hey everyone! Just trying to sell off some of my old hardware I had laying around.
I have a Sapphire R9 280x Vabor-X. This model is pretty much the Bee's knees of the 280x's. Full disclosure! I mined on this card for about a month way back in the days of Bitcoin and Litecoin mining. However, the card still runs super cool and stable. Has fresh paste on the card and runs at 45-50C when gaming! This card still rocks at 1080p gaming and does't mine crypto currency all that well which keeps the price down :D I'm asking $130 shipped.
I also have a EVGA GTX 660 2gb. Has fresh paste on it and runs super cool. A great budget card for 1080p gaming. I'm asking $55 shipped.
Finally I have an iPhone 5s up for sale. It's a 16gb AT&T model. It is slightly bent(as pictured) but still works great! According to my girlfriend it is unlocked. She just happened to have an AT&T contract with the phone. I'm asking $90 shipped OBO.

Get my mining rig to boot, I'll pay you +$30 in bitcoin right now!

Whoever get's my mining rig to boot up and get mining properly, will be sent +$30 in bitcoin instantly from my coinbase account. I have bitcoin ready to be sent as soon as my system is up and running. Please take a look at the info below and reply with a solution! First person to fix my rig will be sent the bitcoin!
The setup:
MOBO: ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z87 CPU:Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell 3.0GHz LGA 1150 PSUs: 2x EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G2 80 PLUS GOLD Certified 1000W GPUs: 2x SAPPHIRE 11197-03-CPO Radeon HD 7970 3GB 3x GIGABYTE GV-R928XOC-3GD REV2 Radeon R9 280X 3GB Memory: 2x 4GB DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengence Other: 16x and 1x molex powered risers, add2psu adapter
I have three gigabyte windforce gpu's and two sapphire 7970 cards. For some reason I cannot get my rig to boot with 4 gpu's or more. I got my rig to boot into win8.1 a day ago with 4 gpu's but after restarting it, It refused to post again. I have risers on all the slots and have tried configurations with the gpu's in different slots. I have jumped the A1 and B17 pins on two of the 1x pci-e slots (last two 1x slots furthest from the cpu) and jumped the A1 and B81 pins on three 16x pci-e slots. I've tried configs with two 280x gpu's on 16x risers and with two 7970 gpu's on 1x risers. I've also tried three 280x gpu's on 16x risers and one 7970 gpu on a 1x riser. I've tried many similar configs but I have had little to no luck. Im using dual psu's with the add2psu adapter. They're the same evga 1000w psu's. All the risers are powered too. And I do receive 5 beeps as an error code through the mobo speaker when I try to boot sometimes. If not, the fans just get loud and the system never boots. All the graphics cards are plugged into the primary psu and so are all the molex cables powering the gpu risers. The second psu only has a single 24 pin cable being plugged into the add2psu adapter.
Working solutions will be rewarded! Thanks :D

Getting Started with a GPU mining rig to mine X11/X13 or scrypt ASIC's to mine scrypt altcoins

Hi, I would start mining altcoins X11 and X13 algorithm, the graphic card that i would start are 4 sapphire R9 280X (they have need 230 watt to one) with seasonic power supply, 4GB ram and a cheap sempron processor. By that I understood from October to Gennuary-Febbruary the price of cryptocurrency improve as happened for bitcoin litecoin..... 12000 Mh/s X11 , 9333 Mh/s X13. But when i try to calculate the profit with http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators it shows me that I'll lose money my cost eletricity is 0.24 euro I want mine the debutting X11 or X13 altcoins and trade them for bitcoins.
But given the calculate, the my last resource is the scrypt ASIC's to mine the new scypt altcoins. I would try a http://www.gawminers.com/hosted-the-fury-1-3-mh-s-asic-scrypt-miner-week-four-end-of-day-of-6-16-2014/ and if it's a good ASIC's i would buy more powerfull ASIC's
What i've to do? The GPU or ASIC's given mi elettricity cost? Is there another solution? Do you have advice? Please answer me, i've to start.

Work and Play PC, Budget 1-1.2k

Filled this out almost a month ago before deciding to wait for Black Friday sales. I'm not particularly learned regarding the ins and outs of holiday deal shopping so I hope you guys can help me find some good Black Friday savings on what should be an expensive PC for me.
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Heavy photoshop and autocad use, along with the rest of CS6 and occasional video editing, all for work. Gaming in the form of Minecraft, CS:GO, Dota, Hearthstone, Skyrim etc.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
I can go around 1200 tops.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Tower, Monitor.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
GA, USA. I will be going to Microcenter early next week.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
Keyboard, Mouse, Windows 8.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
Maybe down the line, not necessary right now
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
SSD, i7 4790k, support for HDMI on case and monitor. I will be using a Wacom Cintiq 13HD extensively.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Hopefully not too big and include DVD drive.
Do you need a copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference for one or the other?
No.
Extra info or particulars:
My friend has offered to re-sell me a Sapphire Radeon R9 280x he has used for bitcoin mining for very cheap (~50 bucks). Is that worth it or should I buy new?
Also, I'm trying to keep this as future-proof as I can.
Thank You!

How to fix crashes and low hash rate on my new scrypt rig?

I need help to get past two major problems in my scrypt mining machine (see my config at bottom).

1 problem is system crashes during mining, even with low hash rate

2 problem is the low hash rates. 280x running at 400 k/hs and R9 290 at 180-400 k/hs

So far I have tried mining on Windows 8.1, Litecoin BAMT Linux and SMOS Linux with much luck. On Windows 8.1 I have gone through tons of AMD Driver versions from 13.1, 13.11 beta v9.4, 14.1 beta, 13-12, and bunch of other versions. Even tried couple of DDU clean ups. I have also tried different iners like cgminer, bfgminer, etc. Note on windows 8.1 I can't see GPU temp either. However, the hangs and low hash rates persist. One of the main issues is I can't get around play around with miner settings due crashes.
On linux at least I can see GPU temps. But from my testing the system still hangs when running at 400 k/hs on my two R9 280x or 180 k/hs on R9 290. My setting for above on cgminer was (2x 280x and 1x 290 at the end):
cgminer.exe --scrypt -I 12,12,12 -shaders 2048,2048,2560 --auto-fan --target-temp 65
Here is my hardware config:
MSI Z77A-GD65 Motherboard(highly recommended on bitcoin.org board)
Intel Celeron G1620
Corsair RM 850W
G.SKILL 8 GB (4GB x 2)
Sapphire Radeon R9 280x
MSI Gaming R9 280x
XFX R9 290x R9-290A-ENFC
Anyone got any suggestions on what to try next? Seems like very hard to mine effectively, for me atleast...

[Build Help] Looking at a graphics card previously used for mining

I've been looking at a used Sapphire R9 280x Dual-X OC graphics card, as it is being sold for $100+ less than regular purchase price, for my new build. The problem is, I just found out it was used in bitcoin mining for 3-4 months. It does still have a warranty until November, but I would be buying it now and building in June, leaving only 5 months on the remaining warranty. I've heard that bitcoin mining shortens the life of video cards quite drastically, so do you think that with this info, it's worth purchasing? Or should I just wait and look into getting a 960 when I get the rest of my parts (roughly the same price, $200).
Thanks!

Low framerates while GPU usage is low

Hello Tech support,
I have already sent a ticket to Sapphire, as well as ask on their forums, but no replies yet and I would also like answers from people not in the sapphire/AMD community.
I will copy/pase every bit of information I have given them (prepare for a wall of text haha) I will also answer all questions you have honestly :) Please help me as I have tried a lot and have gained nothing.
Here it goes.
Since I got my GPU about 9 months ago the performance of the GPU has been pretty bad, but I didn't notice it too much because I wasn't playing too many recent games. Now however, I started playing more graphical intensive games and the performance of this graphics card is lacking, almost as if there is a bottleneck in my pc (which should be impossible concidering the parts in my pc). For example, in borderlands 2 the framerate gets as low as 40 frames per second, or even lower, this while MSI Afterburner (or similar programs) tell my my GPU usage is under 50%. An even more extreme case of this is TERA Online, in which I sometimes only get 20 or even 10 FPS, all while my GPU Usage is under 30%. (My laptop gets around the same amount of FPS in the same game, same settings, but my laptop has a 6770m which gets about 100% usage). My PSU should suffice, my CPU is fast enough, my ram is fine, my temperatures are low (highest ever recorded is 65 degrees celsius. When running a performance testing program like 3d mark suddenly the GPU gets 100% usage, as does it when mining bitcouns (which I only tested to see how the GPU performs, I normally don't mine bitcoins.) Also, in NONE of my tests does my CPU have a high usage or are there heavy background programs. The ICT people I showed this made sure of that as well. I would like to know why I have this problem and how I can solve it. I have let ICT people take a look at it and they find nothing wrong. It can't be unoptimized games because my laptop gets high usages in the same game, and a friend of mine whom has a pc with the same CPU, but an nvidia GPU gets full usage as well. I am clueless about this problem and would like your support on this. Included with this ticket is a screenshot of me playing tera, with Task manager, MSI Afterburner and GPU-Z opened. I hope you can help me.
Included with this ticket is the following picture: http://i.imgur.com/Ac7QvW7.jpg
Also, here is a list of my hardware, as I'm supposed to give (also in the support ticket as extra information)
Main Hardware Information: CPU: AMD FX-8350 black edition RAM: 2 Sticks, each 4GB corsair vengeance 1600Mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (revision 4.0) (on the latest bios) Video Card: Sapphire R9-280X Vapor-X Running at stock speeds (only changed power use to **50% to see if that made a difference, it does not) PSU: Corsair CX750M
Other Hardware Information : Monitor: Iyama 1920X1080 monitor, Standard 1280x1024 monitor as secondairy (not always activated) HDD/SSDs: Sandisk 64 gb ssd (Boot); Samsung EVO 480 120gb (games); WD black 1TB (games and data) Other PCI/PCI-X Cards: None Optical Drives: Standard CD/DVD drive (Super Writemaster SpeedPlus)
Software Information: Operating System: Windows 8.1, latest updates (also had this problem on windows 7) Video Card Drivers in Use ( and tried ): Currently 14.7 (always had GPU drivers up to date) Motherboard Drivers Used: Latest ones downloaded from website Apps/Games causing issues ( and if they've been patched ): Generally most of them All major components check 100% after thorough testing ( eg. Memory & Memtest86 ): Yes, every part in my pc is fine System clean of viruses / spyware etc: Pc pc checks regularly, using Avast Other things tried: Overclocking CPU (Will try an NVidia 770 soon when a friend of mine can miss it to see how the pc reacts)

[SG] Stable 2.6 MH/s Scrypt Mining Rig

Photo Gallery - http://imgur.com/a/z9Wka#0
Your looking at a complete scrypt mining rig which mines or creates altcoins. This mining rig will create cryptocurrency such as Litecoin, Dogecoin, and more.
Currently selling this mining rig at 2100 USD which is a lot less than what I paid for the entire thing brand new. It has been mining dogecoin/litecoin/etc for 3 weeks and it turns out after my electric bill + summer time coming soon it will not be profitable for me as I pay .14 cents a kilowatt.
The mining rig was restarted every Friday for basic dusting and maintenance and purs like a kitten. Price is negotiable depending on the drive your willing to make to Dallas TX (PM for Location). The rig has been in my garage and has always had temps of 76-78 or lower.
One thing about this setup is you don't have to do a thing but sign up for the pool you want, type in your username/pass and your mining within minutes. No Setup required as i've gotten the perfect settings for each card on the rig. I've also placed each card to get maximum airflow without pulling heat from neighboring cards, henced the 280x angled upward to pull cooler air.
It is also setup to automatically reboot and start mining on it's own in case of a power outage. I can also disable this feature as that is what I prefer to do. I like manually starting my rig once a week to make sure things are running flawless.
These cards have all been undervolted, overclocked, and set up to be the most efficient and fast at what they do. Stability is key with mining cryptocurrency and I can proudly say this 2.6 MH/s mining rig has run a week at a time before I manually restart it to dust it. You can choose to let it mine tirelessly for as long as you want but I recommend dusting it often. I'm sure this baby can mine for months without being touched.
All or most hardware has original boxes.
Complete Scrypt Mining Rig With Aluminum Frame + Box Fan:
GPU's:
This does not come with a keyboard, monitor, or a mouse. I run this thing headless and directly remote in using splashtop so I have control of my rig wherever i'm at using my macbook.
I am willing to ship the rig taken apart in 1 Huge Box with all original boxes inside + hardware if you pay the shipping. It will be carefully packed and sent via UPS, you can also add insurance which will also be paid by you.
You can also meet me or come take a look at the rig if your interested, i'm located in Dallas Tx. PM me for exact address and phone number if interested.
I will accept Chase Instant Pay, Dogecoin, Bitcoin, or Litecoin.
I will not sell the rig in parts it's buy all or nothing.
Note: As you can see I have two instances of SGminer running, the mining program I use. This is because I use different settings for the Sapphire 280x's and different intensity/thread concurrency settings for the R9 versions of the cards which are the 290x/270.

Help my brothers, there seems to be a dark magic.

I am trying to find a Sapphire TOXIC AMD Radeon R9 280X for a price that wont make GabeN cry. It appears due to the holiday season and litecoin/bitcoin mining that the prices have jumped from 380-400 to well over 480 dollars. Does any of my brothers know of a trusted site that still sells the weapon of the Master Race for a decent price. That is all, have a merry GabeN day brothers.

Budget Gaming PC in Singapore (with monitor)

Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)
Yes
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Mostly gaming, specifically newer titles like GTA V, Fallout 4 (hype), Witcher 3 etc.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)
1080p 60FPS, preferably at least high settings.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
About SGD1200, which converts to about $860USD as google tells me.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
Singapore, but I will be making some purchases through Amazon for parts that are eligible for free shipping. (Amazon globalsaver)
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.
To start, I know I definitely want an i5, as well as a decent GPU (280x equivalent).
The cheapest and most valuable option that I have found was to get a refurbished one on GPUshack, and paying with bitcoin for the free international shipping.
Amazon is a good option, I can obtain parts at US prices with free shipping for eligible items and over $125.
The CPU, SSD, RAM are all to be shipped for free by Amazon (amazing value imo).
Although it might be cheaper to get a CPU + mobo combo locally. The current motherboard on the list is just a placeholder, but if I can get an acquaintance of mine to carry it from the US I am getting it most likely.
The PSU and Case is as listed at a local parts shop, converted to USD.
The monitor is a placeholder, feel free to recommend good budget 1080p monitors. I do care just a little about response times (<10ms), and an IPS screen is not necessary, I do not mind a TN panel.
The prices here are stressful but having the option to go with amazon is wonderful
NOTE: You do not have to follow this format, but please be sure to answer these questions. Please do not ask to simply be given a build. You are welcome to delete this section.
