Bitcoin - The Currency of the Internet

A community dedicated to Bitcoin, the currency of the Internet. Bitcoin is a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. You might be interested in Bitcoin if you like cryptography, distributed peer-to-peer systems, or economics. A large percentage of Bitcoin enthusiasts are libertarians, though people of all political philosophies are welcome.

3D printing service provider from Germany accepts bitcoins

That means that somebody in Brasil can call them and ask for the design of a new product. Then the company designs and manufactures the desired product within a few days and ships it right away after the bitcoin payments have been placed. That way companies can get German engineering, designing and manufacturing through bitcoins. As I know such a process normally takes 4 to 6 weeks. Now it can be delivered probably even after just 1 or 2 weeks which can give them a great comparative advantage.
Two disruptive technologies seem to start merging here! Isn't this one really exciting?!

According to Twitter reports, in Germany, Burger King began accepting bitcoin payments.

“Incredible: Now Burger King in Germany accepts bitcoins through its application!
Every day, more than 11 million guests visit Burger King restaurants around the world. It is the second largest fast food restaurant in the world.
"BTC is accepted here, BTC is accepted there, BTC is accepted everywhere!"

The screenshot from the tweet shows various payment options, among which the Bitcoin icon is indicated.
The app is designed to expedite payments as part of a partnership between Burger King and Tillster, a San Diego-based company that offers mobile payment solutions.
“The introduction and use of mobile payments gives benefits to both the brand and the consumer, allowing you to conduct a two-way dialogue, rather than exchange one-way transactions.
Consumers receive a convenient and easy way to pay for their goods and subscribe to additional services such as loyalty programs, exclusive coupons and other interaction tools, ”said Perill Perley, CEO of Tillster.
In 2017, Burger King announced that it was launching cryptocurrency payments in Russia based on the Waves platform. However, today it is not known what the result of the experiment was.
