Two questions on calculating PPS vs PPLNS block reward

PPS: If a mining pool contributes 30% of Bitcoin's hash rate for example, and a miner contributes 10%, does that mean that the miner earns 3% of every single block reward?

PPLNS: What constitutes a recent share vs an old share, and how are these weighted when distributing rewards?

A lot of the reading material I've come across is vague when it comes to these two topics. I guess it might depend on the pool, but I can't find the answers on pool sites - if anyone could give me specific examples with set pools I'd really appreciate it a lot!

PPS+ vs PPLNS PPS. The most common calculation is PPS (Pay per share) where there is a standard payout for each miner based on the amount of processing power (hashtag rate) contributed. The mining pool will pay a set rate based for each completed hash, so the more power your machine has, the more you contribute, the greater your earnings. Different Bitcoin Mining Pool Payment Methods (PPS vs FPPS vs PPLNS vs PPS+) We went through the Howey Test and determined that neither a PPS or a PPLNS pool is a security. Mining revenue generally consists of two parts, (1) the block reward (current bitcoin block reward is 12.5 bitcoin) paid by the network to the miner and (2) the transaction fees paid by the users Unlike PPS, in PPLNS you’ll get payouts more often and in the long run you’ll be rewarded more with PPLNS than PPS. However due to huge variance it’s really hard to calculate your mining income. PPLNS is good for both mid-range miners and pool owners as the payouts is only based on the blocks found. Mining pools have real advantages but every mining pool is a bit different – including in the way in which it rewards its participants. It is worth choosing the mining pool that meets your needs best, but making this decision can be tricky. It’s not about fees and pool size, the way payouts are made and the type of reward you receive also matter.
