[OFFER] Your friendly logo designer.

Hello there,
My name is zzgraphics and I am a dexterous logo designer with the potential to help you and your business grow digitally with a stronger brand identity. With more than 5 years of experience under my belt, the quality of my service is a steal at such a price.
To assess the standard of my work, please click here.
The whole procedure is really simple. You drop me a message or an email with details about your business and I get back to you as soon as possible. We will continue going back and forth unless a design you are satisfied with is forged. Revisions have no limit as long as they are reasonable. You don’t like a design? We dump it and move on to another one.
Even if you are not well aware of the sort of files you should request, there is no need to worry. You will receive: Source files of the logo design (.ai/illustrator file and .eps) PNG files with transparent background (logo in selected colors, black and white) PDF & SVG files (If you expect others, don’t forget to question me about them. I might have forgotten to mention them.)
The resolution will be very high, but you can also request the files in a custom one.
The duration of our dealing is totally dependent on the time you take to respond to me with feedback. An efficient conversation would be vital. An honest response will help both of us to catch the right direction before wasting any of ours’ time. A turnaround will not take more than a day or two (perhaps even a few hours based on the number of people I am dealing with).
$29.99 is the fixed price. Tips are always appreciated. The payment methods I accept are: PayPal Skrill (It does not take more than a day to create a working account.) Bitcoin/Ethereum Payoneer

Tutorial: How to receive Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. This tutorial explains in 3 steps how to receive Bitcoin donations on your street art works:

Tutorial: How to receive Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. This tutorial explains in 3 steps how to receive Bitcoin donations on your street art works:

Step 1 — Creating a Bitcoin Portfolio
First, it is necessary to create your wallet , which will generate your reception address (the equivalent of a bank account that belongs to you).
Thanks to this receiving address, you will be able to receive transactions in your wallet.
The Coinomiwallet is one of the easiest to use , available on Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS and Linux.
You are free to use any other wallet: Samurai Wallet , Spot , Electrum … Make sure that the wallet you choose is recognized and trusted because hacks , phishing and scams are commonplace in the world cryptocurrencies.
Download the application .

Once installed, click on “Create new wallet”.

The wallet will generate you your recovery phrase (or “Seed”, which is the private key of your wallet) which is most often a suite of 24 words.

Write down your recovery phrase by hand on a sheet of paper and keep it in a safe place (be careful to keep it private, anyone who owns this sentence becomes the owner of your funds).

Confirm to the wallet that you have correctly noted the recovery phrase and choose a password .
2nd step — Create your QR code visual
From your wallet, you need to generate your QR code of the receiving address .
Go to “Bitcoin BTC” in the wallet.

Click “Receive” (if indicated, choose a reception address “Compatibility” rather than “Default” or “Legacy”).

Bitcoin receive address example1F4bwjr74bmcXwRu53Jh27JRRCWHHd4yrz
You can now retrieve the QR code with a screenshot and save the receiving address .
To put this QR code on your works, there are 2 methods; a very simple and accessible to all (printing on paper and collage) and the second is a little more complicated (cutting stencil) but more durable:
  • The easiest way is to print the QR code on paper with the mention “Bitcoin donations” at the top and your Bitcoin receipt address at the bottom and paste it into your work.

Download this template and add your QR code and receiving address (as above). Check that the address shown corresponds to the QR code by scanning it with a smartphone.
Optional: It is recommended to add your website (or social networks) to allow people to validate that this is your Bitcoin address (and not that of a person posing as you). Of course, this same Bitcoin receiving address must appear on the front page of your site (and in your social networks profile) to allow donors to verify that the funds will be received by you.
Once the sheet is printed, you can paste it on your next street artwork. Prefer flat and smooth surfaces for better adhesion of the poster. We must make sure that it fits in with the signature of the work so that we understand that the gifts are for you.

- The second method is to create a QR code stencil and use a spray bomb to put it in your work.
There are 2 possible cutting techniques: A manual technique that requires some basic DIY. The second technique is to prepare the visual Photoshop and Illustator then to call a provider who will cut the stencil for you.
1st technique — Manual: To make yourself the stencil, you will need a rigid sheet, a cutting support, a cutting scalpel, Masking Tape, a black felt pen, a clamp and a thin square grid.
To make the QR code stencil by hand, see this tutorial .

Once the stencil of QR code is made, make a stencil with the mention “Donate Bitcoin” and add it to the first stencil to understand that this is your Bitcoin reception address. You can write it yourself or use this template (below) that you can print and overlay your rigid sheet.

Once your stencil is ready (“Donate Bitcoin” + QR code), you can put it on your next work with a black paint spray. Prefer flat, smooth and clear surfaces for a better readability of the QR code. We must make sure that the stencil is integrated into the signature of the work to understand that the gifts are for you.
2nd technique — Stencil cutting by a provider: To create a QR code stencil, it is imperative that all the background of the visual is connected to allow cutting of the stencil, for this, it is necessary to go to a site that generates QR compatible stencil code like qrcode-zebra.com

Once on the site, choose the “Text” tab and paste your Bitcoin receipt address and click on “Generate QR code”. Your QR code will appear, but the design will not be the right one. There are a few changes to make. In the “Choose patterns” tab on the left, click on the first pattern (which looks like a square grid), then in “Choose eyes”, click on the first box (the basic square “eyes”). Then, in “Set colors”, choose the color black.
Optional: if you wish to add your logo or signature, you can add it in “Add logo”. The file should be as simple as possible, in black with transparent background that connects (compatible with a stencil cut).
Now that the QR code is ready, you can retrieve it with a screenshot or click on “Dowload PNG” and give your email address to receive the QR code as a PNG file.
Then, on Photoshop, it is necessary to couple the grid of your QR code with this model so that the mention “Donations in Bitcoin” and the 3 “Eyes” square of the QR are compatible for a stencil cut. Use overlapping layers and erase old “eyes”.

Finally, download this special stencil typography and use it to enter your Bitcoin receipt address used on your QR code. Check that the address shown corresponds to the QR code by scanning it with a smartphone.
It is strongly recommended to also add your website (or social networks) to allow people to validate that this is your Bitcoin address (and not that of a person posing as you). Of course, this same Bitcoin receiving address must appear on the front page of your site (and in your social networks profile) to allow donors to verify that the funds will be received by you.
Once the visual is ready and fully compatible for stencil cutting, you can vectorize it in Illustrator and save it in EPS or AI format.
Last step, send this file to a provider who makes stencil cutting.
It’s up to you to choose the provider that best suits your location, price and time. Choose a format that suits your job. For large frescoes, larger formats (A2) are preferable, and for smaller works, smaller sizes (A4).

Once you receive the stencil, you can affix it to your next work with a black paint spray. Prefer flat, smooth and clear surfaces for a better readability of the QR code. We must make sure that it fits in with the signature of the work so that we understand that the gifts are for you.

3 — Last step, communicate.
Let all those who follow your work know that they can now support you financially by sending you Bitcoin donations on your Street Art works. You can use the means you have available, your contacts, your website, your social networks …
To help beginners, here is a tutorial that explains how to buy Bitcoin.
To track the transactions you receive, you can open your wallet regularly to see your balance.
To receive a notification when you receive a donation, you can use your Wallet to track transactions at an address of your choice.
The public can also see your balance received on your address thanks to blockchain explorers.
Here is the balance of a donation address: 3Pboy9ucGEdQUHNu2rrC6RGq4jouRc4Grb
If you receive a lot of donations, it is a good opportunity to communicate on the amount received.
Good luck and good creation!
FAQ
Why use Bitcoin?
The money you receive is 100% in your possession because you are the sole owner of your private key (recovery phrase, or “Seed”), unlike other centralized means of payment (Banks, Paypal, Ulule, Patreon. ..), Bitcoin happens totally of intermediary of confidence.
How do I use Bitcoin?
Thanks to your wallet you create a private key and a public address. The private key (recovery phrase, or “Seed”) is a bit like the key to your digital vault that you need to keep only for yourself. The public address is your RIB to receive transactions, you can share it publicly without problem.
How do I exchange my bitcoins for USD?
You can at any time send your bitcoins on an exchange online ( Coinbase …) to convert them into currency (Euro, Dollar …). You need to create an account on one of these exchange exchanges, convert your funds into the desired currency and then make a transfer to your bank account.
A faster solution may be to use a centralized service provider that offers a Bitcoin wallet connected to a credit card to spend your bitcoins directly ( Wirex , Coinbase …).

Introducing KiwiSaver Capital Funds

Introducing KiwiSaver Capital Funds

“The intelligent investor is a realist who sells to optimists and buys from pessimists.”

- Benjamin Graham

Hi Visioners
We’d like to introduce ourselves and our new line of hand-crafted investment funds on the Genesis Vision platform.
We are made up of two New Zealander’s and a Brit: Mark, Matt and Felix. Two of us have backgrounds in finance and the other has been living, breathing and mining crypto since Bitcoin’s infancy. We have a combined total of 15 years in the cryptocurrency market and have helped dozens of people become investors in crypto along the way. We all immediately recognised the immense value of the Genesis Vision project and have been invested since the ICO.
Together, the three of us are KiwiSaver Capital.
Our funds were designed to provide simple, transparent and cost-effective investment solutions for mid to long term capital growth. As opposed to the brevity of Genesis Vision programs – where an investment timeframe is three months at most – we are hoping to attract those with an investment timeframe of at least a year. We want to set our investors up for retirement, not for the moon.
Aside from our extensive backgrounds in both finance and the crypto market in general, we differ from other fund managers you may see on the GV platform. Most importantly, each of our four key funds has been hand-crafted with a different exposure to stable coins and growth assets to suit an investor’s appetite for risk and overall investment objectives.

The following is a summary of these key funds, arranged in order of increasing risk:
Defensive: Our Defensive fund holds up to 20% in cherry-picked growth assets. Defensive funds are generally suitable for investors who have a low appetite for risk. They are also useful for investors who are suspecting a downturn in the market, while still allowing an opportunity to take a small profit if the reverse happens instead. https://genesis.vision/managefunds/kiwisaver-defensive

Balanced: Our Balanced fund holds up to 50% in growth assets. Balanced funds are a good 'middle of the road' investment strategy. They are generally suitable for investors seeking mid-range long-term returns, while still protecting against some of the negative downturns common to the crypto market. https://genesis.vision/managefunds/kiwisaver-balanced

Assertive: Our Assertive fund holds up to 80% in growth assets. Assertive funds are generally suitable for investors with a higher appetite for risk. They provide a small hedge against possible market downturns, but in general they aim to take full advantage of a bull market. The growth assets we select are diversified and cherry-picked, with the majority of the fund being in larger market cap coins with a small handful of more speculative coins. https://genesis.vision/managefunds/kiwisaver-assertive

Intrepid: This is our absolute highest risk fund. The fund is 100% allocated to growth assets with no stable coin backing. In general, lower market cap coins are allocated a higher proportion of the fund. The result is a very high risk speculative fund aiming for maximal growth over the long term. Investors should have a high appetite for risk and be ready for negative fluctuations in the fund value. https://genesis.vision/managefunds/kiwisaver-intrepid

In the traditional markets we have found this risk-tiered strategy to be the most useful for long term growth. However, before joining these funds, an investor should consider their individual risk profile. For example, a young investor with an investment timeframe of over 10 years may decide that they can ride out any short-mid term bear market and therefore join our Assertive fund, made up mostly of strong growth assets with a relatively small exposure to stable coins. On the other hand, an older investor who is a few years away from retirement may instead choose to play it safer and invest in our Defensive fund, which provides more stability albeit with potentially lower returns.

Our Designer funds:
FinTech: We also run a designer fund focused purely on cherry-picked cryptocurrency projects in the FinTech arena. This fund can be found here: https://genesis.vision/managefunds/kiwisaver-fintech

Momentum (due late Jan): We are pleased to announce that in the next few weeks we will also be a releasing a new designer fund called the Momentum Fund. This fund utilises the concept of momentum trading to be in one of two states – either fully parked in stable coins or fully invested in Bitcoin. We assess which state the fund will be in on a monthly basis according to a couple of simple technical indicators. As opposed to a buy and hold strategy, using momentum investment protects us from prolonged downturns in the market, while optimising potential gains when the market is looking bullish. We have backtested this strategy over the last two years and the results have been quite impressive.

We rebalance every fund monthly according to price changes and important news/events occurring in the cryptosphere.
If you like what you have read and are keen to join us on this journey, feel free to follow the links above, or click here.
Our funds are also currently featured in the Top performing funds from last week, last month and all time. You’ll notice us by the green logo.
You can rest assured that at KiwiSaver Capital we will take care of your funds as if they are our own.

[FOR HIRE] I design/remake your future logos and banners for the price of £3/$3.83 (FIRST-TIME OFFER).

£3 GBP = 0.00060 Bitcoin
$3.83 USD = 0.00060 Bitcoin
Hello, everyone. I'm starting new here hence the low price tag on this deal. New in terms of the Bitcoin stuff, I'm an experienced graphic designer. I've designed logos that are used by local Property Management branches and convenience stores. I'm now here to expand my business.
Right now, I'm only accepting Bitcoin- again I'm new to this cryptocurrency stuff and I do have intentions of opening up Bitcoin Cash and other cryptocurrency if that's any interest of you, but that's for another time.
Here's a logo design I made in 53 minutes (and 17 seconds...), it's downscaled and watermarked because I think that logo is pretty impressive and I don't feel right making it easy for someone to take it away and make it their own. Please take note that that design is solely for the purpose of showing off my designing skills.
The way the payment system will work
1) You tell me what you want (or make me a basic "blueprint" version of it on MS Paint, that's what a couple of my customers done and it works)
2) Pay me 1/3 (in this case, 0.00030 BTC)
3) I complete what I'll estimate to be 1/3 of the work done
4) I contact you, show you a preview of the work and you can then tell me what you want to change (if you have any new ideas).
5) Then to continue forward you pay the second 1/3.
6) I get to 2/3 progress and then you scrutinise it once again, before paying the final 1/3.
7) I complete it 100%, and you tell me any changes you want to be made before we shake on it, I send you the full PNG format (transparent and on a white background) before I sign off.
This takes 5 days on average, however if you're someone who keeps an eye on your phone/computer, fast communication can bring that number down to 3 days easily.
If you choose halfway that you don't want the logo, that's fine I'll send you the full .PNG file of what I made anyway for you. That way, I get my money for working and you get to have the product you payed for. Unless you can give me back the time I spend designing, you won't be refunded.
Anyway I have to go now, please do send a message and I'll get back to you with answers to any questions you have.

[Hiring] Need a new logo

FINAL EDIT: Thanks to obeythegiant, and his great logos. He is the winner of the .35 BTC and has done a fantastic job of seeing this through. Here is the comment thread if interested. This thread will be marked as Completed now.
Hello reddit,
I need a new logo! The original logo is dated and not very exciting at all. I need someone to make me a new one. I am paying .20 BTC (see edit) to the person with the best logo, decided by me of course. Feel free to post designs below or PM me. I will reserve full ownership of the use and rights to the logo.
EDIT: It seems my logo payment is a bit low to some people. I am upping the final payment amount to .35 BTC to the logo I like the best (the current USD value of .35 BTC is $101.40)! I have also set aside the .35 BTC in it's own bitcoin address here https://blockchain.info/address/1BkFbZeDWyDLdpq6A5vSGBPw8crB5Cdtqj (signed).
Here is our current logo:
The job will be to create ideally two logos: one that has transparent background, to use on any page, in a few sizes and one that has a white background, to use on white backgrounds, in a few sizes. Multiple logos will be great, so I can choose the best ones. Please try to incorporate black and orange into the design.
About us: BitcoinX has the largest and most complete database of bitcoin exchanges and bitcoin wallets on the market, and has been around for over a year, and have a great user base and a lot of pageviews each month (and growing!). We service the community by providing tools for your peers to rate and review bitcoin exchanges and bitcoin wallets. If you need more info to help inspire you, please let me know. The basic premise is to have our name "BitcoinX" in the logo in some cool way. It could even be just an "X" or something, but I'd like to see what some of you creatives can come up with - surprise me!
Questions - let me know.
Thanks!

[META] /r/bitcoin Flair Suggestion v2 (With Code)

A year or so ago, I submitted a suggestion for implementing flair with Bitcoin Addresses, so people don't have to rely on third party services to tip others. The main complaint was space constraints, and that it would clutter the subreddit up. However, looking at /listentothis, it should be entirely possible to implement an image of the Bitcoin symbol that, when moused over, displays the user's Bitcoin Address.
Example:
.flair { background-image: url(%%bitcoin-logo-plain%%); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-color: transparent; height: 20px; width: 16px; text-indent: -9999em; border: none !important; margin-left: 2px; vertical-align: middle; } .flair:hover { width: auto; padding: 5px 10px; text-indent: 0px; background-image: none; border-radius: 3px; background-color: #F7931A; color: #FFF; font-size: 1.1em; margin-right: 3px; line-height: normal; }
Bitcoin Logo Image I Used
Testing that out, it comes out with something like this:
Collapsed
Expanded
And of course, a live demo:
Live Demo
It needs some tweaking to look perfect, but it's more than passable.
I'd love some feedback on this updated idea.

Guide: Conjuring DogeCoin on eBay

In two weeks of intensive Doge trading and eBay selling, I was able to accumulate 2,000,000 DogeCoin at no net cost to myself. I have now stopped selling on eBay (been forced to, as I’ll explain later), and I’m OK with that, but I want to contribute my experience to the community in the hopes that others might find it useful.
My approach was simple. I set up accounts on Coinbase and Cryptsy; I already had an account on eBay. I would buy BTC on Coinbase with USD, trade BTC for Doge at the current market rate on Cryptsy, sell Doge at an inflated USD price on eBay, then buy more BTC and so on. I was ABSOLUTELY TRANSPARENT with my buyers about this. I made a point of explaining very clearly in my listings what I was doing and presenting it as a symbiotic relationship: the buyer got the convenience of buying Doge for dollars immediately in a marketplace eBayers trust, without having to wait for Coinbase, Vault of Satoshi, Cryptsy, or whatever other marketplace to verify banking details and buy coins, and I got more Doge in exchange for providing the service. Prices on eBay are vastly inflated compared to the BTC/DOGE markets, and it is VERY easy to undercut the competition if your goal is to accumulate Doge rather than earn USD.
After the two weeks of selling, PayPal temporarily froze my account and asked me to stop accepting PayPal payments for digital currency. I note that many other eBay sellers continue to accept PayPal, so it may be possible to fight or ignore this ban, but I had already reached my goal of 5,000,000 Doge (I built the other 3 million simultaneously through a bit of mining and a lot of buying with my own money from my real job). The freezing was no punishment. PayPal didn’t say I had done anything wrong. They just said they considered it too risky and they asked me to stop, so I did. While the risk they are talking about is real (there ARE cheaters out there) it can be mitigated with some basic safety measures, described below. If you’re willing to accept that controlled risk, and the likelihood that PayPal will eventually ask you to stop, then you may be interested in trying my strategy.
So here’s my step-by-step:
1. Open an account to buy Bitcoin. I used Coinbase, but there are many, many other options. Here’s a good list: http://howtobuybitcoins.info/us.html
2. Open a trading account. I used Cryptsy, just because I was so n00b. I haven’t had any problems with them, but I note lots of people hate them in this subreddit, so you may want to try another option. Other trading sites include Coins-E, CoinedUp, Bter.com, and Vircurex.
3. Accumulate some Doge to start selling. There are a couple of ways to approach this. In my case, I didn’t start selling on eBay until I had 500,000 Doge because I wanted to avoid a) angry buyers and b) surprise losses if I made a sale on eBay then had to wait 4 days for Coinbase to clear my BTC purchase and send it to Cryptsy, by which time I was afraid Doge might have increased in value and wiped out my profit. As it turned out, there was no need to worry, at least during the time I was selling. Since Doge value slid gently during most of the two weeks I was selling, the four-day delay actually worked to my advantage (no guarantees, obviously, of where Doge’s value will go while you are doing this, if you do it). As far as angry buyers, whenever I got close to being sold out, I simply pulled down my listings. After the first week, I had enough Doge (again, I was buying for myself with my own funds aside from the eBay method) that I could sell as much as 500,000 per day for several days running without there being a real risk of selling out. As a final note on this step, if you already have established yourself on Coinbase or a similar USD-for-BTC site, then you may be able to buy large amounts of BTC immediately, in which case you wouldn’t even need to accumulate a nest egg first: just buy BTC with the money the eBayers give you after each sale, trade BTC for Doge, send them theirs and pocket yours.
4. List on eBay. I assume you have an eBay account already. If you don’t, my whole method probably won’t work because the eBay community doesn’t trust sellers with 0 feedback. So assuming you already have an account, you are ready to list. Listing, and how you do it, is the crucial element here. Some things to consider:
5. Protect yourself. I had a very careful recipe that I would follow to protect against chargebacks. First, I would message and/or email the buyer and ask them to provide me their Doge wallet address. By providing it to you, they verify their intention to purchase, which will help if someone questions the transaction later. Second, I would send a random amount of Doge between 1 and 50, and only after they confirmed receipt would I send the full amount. Finally, I would track the full amount in DogeChain.info, and enter the transaction ID as tracking information in eBay. This is important not only because the DogeChain tracking shows that the Doge was sent to the address they already verified with the initial, smaller transaction, but ALSO because eBay pushes your listings up in the search results when you provide tracking information. Since few other sellers seem to know transactions can be tracked through DogeChain.info, this gives you a major advantage in getting your listings noticed by buyers more frequently than your competitors. More clicks= ...
6. Profit. Stay on top of the daily rates on BTC/DOGE trading sites, keep your listings at a comfortable margin (factoring in eBay fees), and the profit part is easy.
I sincerely hope that this method works for people. I’m not going to pretend I sold on eBay for the good of the community. I did it for myself. But I hope that this guide does work for the greater good. I think having more sellers on eBay who actually deliver the Doge they promise is VERY GOOD for our community. DogeCoin has already reached far beyond the stereotypical crypto-anarchist supernerd of the traditional digital currency community. eBay is trusted and used by many millions of people of all types. Selling Doge at a reasonable profit on eBay is a great way to expand the DogeCoin community to people who lack the interest to mine or trade on their own, but have heard of DogeCoin and are eager to be part of it.
If you are conscientiously delivering the goods you promise, there’s no reason why selling on eBay shouldn’t be an effective way to evangelize Doge while rapidly building your own personal holdings.

"Dona Nobis Pacem" (Grant Us Peace) / PR idea /argument

This is a hilarious idea that I just thought of. It would be great to implement, IMO. Please watch the video I provided.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fhJ6XrZ4jg
I am going to associate the phrase “Dona Nobis Pacem” or Grant Us Peace with Vertcoin and advocate my idea on how to attract other people to our coin. However, in my advertisement I would just like a piano instrumental of the song. Not actual singing.
Once you listen to about 1:11, you can stop watching and read my rant -- then eventually read about the type of video I want created. I do appreciate it and would do it if I was actually creative and knew how to use the proper programs, but I don’t.
Dona Nobis Pacem means Grant Us Peace.
How is Money Supposed to Serve the Human Species?
Think about how on the US dollar or on a US minted coin, words are printed, intertwining the concept of money and religion and perverting both concepts since a religious overtone “In God We Trust” is often associated with fiat money. The whole point of money is to be a store-of-value for trading supplie, yet fiat currencies have accomplished this very poorly. Inflation is ridiculous in fiat currencies throughout the world.
Take a unit of fiat currency in your hand for a second. Graphics and depictions of great figures are printed on different currencies throughout the world. Throughout history, certain leaders have demanded respect without question. Now ask yourself, “why are these specific persons idolized in this specific country? Why?” Those people were physical and thus mortal. They serve no real useful purpose now, other than being revered and idolized! Isn’t this wrong?
Great leaders do not mean they were virtuous or even the best-decision makers. History distorts the way events are portrayed. Some people we idolize may have been the most authoritarian decision-maker in the world and we may not know it.
Judge a leader by his actions, not by what others think or say about them. Depicting a person accurately is impossible now, but to place a leader on a currency makes me question a few things.
Printed on United States’ currency, we have "Liberty" on one side of a coin and "in God we Trust" on the other side. Have you ever questioned what this means or how symbolism & language plays a role in your life?
Why would we put a well-respected leader next to a phrase relating to God? We are equating these people with gods, no? It doesn’t make sense.
This is printed money (manipulated by mortals), from a completely made up government (mortals), speaking about a Higher Being (immortal) to control and manipulate other mortals. The whole idea contradicts itself and is built entirely on a system of fear.
The whole notion of “separation of church and state” is rendered null if you think about how everything is applied. Fiat money is not based on any logic other than a mortal's decision.
We can change that though!
What is Cryptocurrency
Cryptographic currency is based off Math and Science protocols, both of which are immortal and proven! Further, cryptocurrency is impacting the world in a more positive than negative manner, whereas fiat money seems to be lost in a changing paradigm.
So why not associate a phrase about peace with the concept of a cryptocurrency?
Is it wrong of me to associate a hymnal phrase with a cryptographic coin when governments throughout the world pervert the same religious ideas and throw them into your face? Does the government really “Trust in God” or is that merely a traditional thing to say these days?
Is “Dona Nobis Pacem” too cheesy or too long? I don’t know.
In much of the same way that we have inalienable rights, which are meant to be striven for, Peace is also something to strive for and Vertcoin is the means to the end because of the coins functionality.
Historical Themes and Currency
Throughout history, what is the prevailing theme that you see?
The theme most prevalent throughout the world is fighting over land! This is bad. And why are we still fighting over land? It’s because we live in a false paradigm where money and resources seem to be scarce!
We are being manipulated in the fiat system. Money is meant not to be manipulated.
Rather money or an economy is something that should be held sacred. The Vertcoin community’s method of getting our message/philosophy across can be achieved through sacred geometry. We accomplish this by preventing ASICs from entering our market and allowing amateur users to access our coin via mining with GPU and CPU. Thus, this allows easy-access to our coin, which in turn reduces poverty more efficiently, which in turn has an effect on crime reduction. Merchants could adopt Vertcoin at a faster rate than they are now. But, we need to make this easier for them.
It’s a fact that to reduce poverty requires free-markets. A free-market is simply a place where you could interact freely with everyone, but as far as cryptocurrency is speaking, this coin is useful because of the rate of merchant adoption and the way it’s infrastructure is built. The long-term growth factor of the coin is stable, which helps it too. But, the coin is being adopted quickly, making it a very useful tool to compete within the free-market.
Free-markets promote peace, which in turn promotes a better infrastructure and thus helps lift people out of poverty. Our infrastructure is our miners and the more miners we have, the healthier it is for the coin. Thus, if people mine the coin with GPU and CPU computers, this is great for those users long-term and they benefit by being able to easily use this coin via the internet since merchant adoption has occurred quickly. We need to figure out how to easily make VTC convertable for fiat, since BTC has already set that standard.
No doubt, this coin has potential and we could argue that this coin should be one that is easily converted to fiat currency or the currency of a specific state because of its usefulness. But if we want to dissuade people from transferring coins into fiat currency, the only way we can do that is to make merchants adopt at a faster rate or make it more practical to transfer the currency amongst users. I think the Android app is a great app and it would be great if we could show people making transactions on their phones.
It is true, we are living in one of the most peaceful times in recorded history, but from the time of the evolution of cryptocurrency, the wealth of the earth has increased immensely.
Not allowing the coin to be manipulated, the Vertcoin community has voted time and time again to keep the currency decentralized! This bottom-up approach to the currency’s creation is necessary for a prosperous economy to maintain stability.
We continue to hold ourselves down by living in this false paradigm of printing fiat money and respecting past leaders/BS idols with BS religious slogans on them, all of which have nothing to do with one another.
Why VTC is Best
Vertcoin, then, is the solution to our ills. It is the best answer to alleviating poverty and fighting over land. In the long-term, the coin should become widespread whilst maintaining its decentralized nature. Therefore, “Dona Nobis Pacem” is fitting for what would be written on a physical Vertcoin if one were ever minted! It will Grant Us Peace
Crypto is based on Math and Science, which can't be proven wrong and Vertcoin gives us the opportunity to create an everlasting peace via sacred geometry, preventing it from being manipulated through implementing an algorithm not able to be cracked by current ASICs.
This is how we can connect with people who don’t understand what cryptocurrency/Vertcoin is about. Educated people know what geometry and it almost holds a sort of mystical thing to it -- which would draw interest. Saying “sacred geometry” will trigger interest in peoples minds. Have you ever heard of the song “Think Different” by Nujabes. He says: “Is the glass half full or half empty? It’s based on your perspective, quite simply. We’re the same and were not. You see what I’m sayin’, Listen. I ain’t better than you, I just think different”.
Putting this idea in people’s minds will cause them to think different about cryptocurrency in general, but it will benefit us when explaining our coin because whereas other coins fail in maintaining decentralization, VTC cannot be easily manipulated. The Flower of Life ensures this concept.
What is *Opportunity*
Anything can become manipulated. Therefore, this cryptocurrency opportunity can go either direction.
Vertcoin community has proven and proves our plan to maintain the currency’s decentralization because this is the only logical and infallible way of maintaining a stable currency.
I totally get that in order to engage with an audience requires different methods and that we need to show the human element, which is great. I have applied quite a few different concepts and associating the currency with a few different ideas, which could be effective.
People are so afraid of cryptocurrency because they don’t know how it works.
Well, you don’t know how science and math works, necessarily, but you still flip on the switch every time you go to the bathroom, don’t you?
We are in a transition-period where a decision is going to have to be made on which path we want to walk down. Folks seem so afraid to disown everything they’ve been taught because they fear the alternative is worse. People don’t understand Bitcoin creation, but quite frankly, I’m having trouble understanding fiat currency creation.
Peace is something we can achieve. Our coin doesn't revere or associate with a dog or something mortal! Our coin represents decentralization, stability and affiliates with a law of life i.e. sacred geometry. It's a more ultimate form of democracy as opposed to coins that can become manipulated through ASICs.
“Dona Nobis Pacem”
Think about how many Latin phrases are used in each individual state in the US and more so, every state that uses a Latin phrase throughout the world!
Association
I’m just throwing this out there, but, by associating Vertcoin with a “Dona Nobis Pacem”, we could use the phrase vicariously with the coin or use it as some sort of headline. And of course, "Dona Nobis Pacem" does come from a religious perspective/ is a hymnal, but as mentioned earlier it deals with sacred geometry, which would be the beauty of the video in my opinion. You hit the audience on an emotional level and also appeal to a wide variety of crowds.
Imagine church donations sent through Vertcoin!
In the video I would like produced, we would associate Vertcoin with peace, something that is tangible. It is not something that must be revered like many fiat currencies have you believe. Instead, the fact that we associate the coin with the word “peace” gives us a way to connect with people and a concept that the world as a whole would like to see.
Advertisement Idea
Imagine if we introduce a video with a black background and the Vertcoin logo (white) placed in the center. Also showing would be semi-transparent light-blue incomplete hexagon lines at what the edge of the black background. The fact that the hexagon lines are incomplete will be explained further.
If you think about the vertcoin community concept or law, it is based off the Flower of Life (e.g. a Hexagon), from which everything prospers. While this may apply to other coins as well, the Vertcoin community has voted to hard fork if necessary. This youtube video will show our decentralization through filling in the hexagon lines with VTC logos and by associating Vertcoin with “dona nobis pacem”. We attract interest too through associating it with sacred geometry, when the hexagon is complete with VTC logos.
The Vertcoin logo in the center is prominent and effective since it represents the entire community we are creating. “Dona Nobis Pacem” should be written in yellow/gold below the logo; yellow because it is a symbolic color. Thus, everything is put in front of you immediately.
Now to the hexagon. The unfinished hexagon almost frames the logo. Then, imagine if we could have this song (a piano version of this song) playing, but we steadily introduce Vertcoin logos (think like Android (beta) logo) to complete the points. And slowly as the song progresses, we add more Vertcoin logos where the points would connect until eventually the full hexagon is built with the VTC logo represented and “Dona Nobis Pacem” beneath it, surrounded by a light-blue (almost-transparent) hexagon with VTC logos slowly filling in the Hexagon points (using good graphic skills) with the instrumental of “Dona Nobis Pacem” playing in the background.
In all honesty, this is rather comical, but very engaging too. So many people know this song! How many people go to church still? They want peace, they want to stop fighting wars, etc. And it’s great because this coin is not necessarily about peace, but we would capitalize on the peace concept.
The fact that the phrase is written in yellow matters because it represents joy and happiness in China, but the phrase itself is used in Western religion so it’s obvious for them.
Filling in the joints with Vertcoin Hexagon reveals how VTC "completes" the hexagon, thus showing its decentralized aspect, proving the coin’s stability, and giving users an idea of peace of mind.
Then once the hexagon is complete, the logo and hexagon should fade a little, but still be shown in the background. Once the logo/VTC Hexagon are faded,"Vertcoin: Grant us Peace" pops up.
Fade out the "Vertcoin: Grant us Peace" slogan and you introduce words/phrases that have to do with Vertcoin: #Decentralized #Stable #Democratic #ASICResistant . Whatever words you think of that relates this to Vertcoin
There are some quotes that we could display on the screen too after we show the descriptive words:
"Cut out the professionals in favor of the amateurs!” Fade out then show “Everyone who has personal computer should be able to” Fade out then show “Join us”
Obviously the song is too long so from the start of this video to about the 1:11 point would be enough to get the point across.
END
After all, it is "Strength through unity. Unity through faith" as quoted in V for Vendetta. This faith we have is real and it is based off the flower of life.
No doubt, other (similar) coins could do this same exact video and could potentially rip off this idea, but we could capitalize on it.

Powered By A Blockchain Logo

So, I made this Powered By A Blockchain logo, I tried to keep it nice, simple, lightweight and universal to any type of project that uses blockchains like bitcoin. I reliazed that it would look nice on a web page and linked to your favourite documentation about blockchains, so I also made this version with transparency that will make the text the same colour as your page's background.

Where can I find this Bitcoin logo as a transparent PNG?

Where I found the logo: http://hdwallres.com/wallpaperhdpc/bitcoin-logo-1000-wallpaper.html
I know there is a transparent logo on the official wiki but it's different.
A few google searches like "transparent bitcoin logo", "bitcoin logo png", and even reverse searching the image didn't turn up anything other than JPEGs with a white background.
Edit: I know how to use the magic wand tool. It leaves pretty noticeable artifacts if the background isn't white:

I am asking if anyone has the original version with transparency.

Questions Answers
Is TOR still safe? Interesting stories? What are your favorite books? Thanks for doing this! Yes and no. Many users assume they can download TOR, install it, and they are 100% safe. This is not the case.
Generally (and why is beyond us) TOR defaults to allowing all scripts. Disable this. This prevents any scripts from being executed on the clients side such as JavaScript, Flash, ect.
Another thing you can do is run TOR over a VPN (virtual private networks).
___
Silk Road 1 going down was quite interesting. We lost just under a thousand in escrow, although we only sold petty objects such as silk road memorabilia, 3d printed items, glassware and grinders with the SR camel logo.
At the time we had a few large orders of bongs going out through the USA and that costs us some funds, but nothing critical.
Then the Sheep Market scam was interesting to watch over on /darknetmarkets. I think over One hundred million USD in BTc were stolen.
___
Books! Good way to pass the time.
Adam: I don't read much actual literature, if I had to go with something I'd say Adventures of Huck Finn.
Brian: Zombie Survival Guide. Not the best author, but it's been my favorite book even after that horrible movie we dare not speak of.
Chris: Hunt For Red October.
___
To clarify: the TOR browser bundle leaves scripts enabled, not TOR itself. TOR is just the router, the browser bundle is TOR built in to Firefox to make it easier for people to use it. My bad.
Yes, the TOR browser (which has had hundreds of updates) still has the default to script on.
Click the S! icon just to the left of the URL bar and select "Forbit Scripts Globally".
> not mentioning TAILS. We don't use TAILS, we use a Kernel Hardened Gentoo Server. If you mean mention it as part of the reply to TOR, it's not particularly related to the question "Is TOR Safe".
Do you ever get contacted by authorities for information about your clients? We have had customers asking about our clients, as well as customers asking about personal information of vendors which we obviously don't have, and if we did it would not be something we share. Generally we find clients that are already selling on the darknet, and know most of the absics for using it in a safe manner. But there's the occasional "I have $50 and want a vendor site and market accounts, help me" that we simply have to explain it costs much more than that.
How informed do you find that potential clients are when they want to start up on the darknet? We have had contact with authorities: anonymous emails any time we find a child pornography site. We also refuse any contact with those that are looking for CP sites, and it is sickening how many there are. The largest issue is some new vendors assume our vendor sites means they get market accounts, and are upset when we correct them. You'd be surprised how many people want to become darknet vendors but don't want to pay any money for vendor accounts.
So what DOES it cost for an onion shop? For a full vendor shop, we charge $40 USD monthly for hosting (discounts for 3,6,12 months) plus any additional services ordered.
The basic price doesn't include bitcoin integration or automatic ordering, but it does give you a operable CMS system for showcasing your products and making manual orders.
Prices are in USD, and it seems we forgot our payment data: Bitcoins & Darkcoins (and more to come).
Host your clear net site with .bit. We're still waiting to expand into those types of domains. As we currently have no server for hosting them, we do not want a site on a network we cannot yet host on.
Thanks for taking your time for an AMA! I am a Linux System Administrator who has a large background in security and I would really appreciate any questions you can answer. All server traffic is tunneled through a transparent TOR proxy, so the server couldn't give out it's IP even if it wanted to.
What actions do you take to protect your users privacy(Web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, kernel hardening, etc.)? We have PaX, SELinux, and GRSecurity enabled for the kernel.
What extra methods do you have to take to ensure the privacy of the IPv4 address? Other than the tor proxy we also make sure the servers information is not leaked through error pages or any malicious scripts.
Do you prefer a specific management panel software(cPanel, Ajenti, etc.) or just plain linux servers? We prefer linux servers although we've several inquiries about offering cPanel for clients. Right now it's SFTP and SSH access only.
Can you tell us where you host your sites? We can't say where we host the sites.
Do you offer email with your services and if so do you use encryption? We do offer email integration, although we do not run a SMTorP service. We can integrate safe-mail and lelantos into users services.
Also do you use popular CMSs or do you use plain code? What protections do you take if a customer requests CMSs? We use both existing CMS/scripts as well as custom code usually built on Bootstrap. We try to enable all possible security features and migrate any JS features to php or css3, as well as providing code optimization for TOR.
Also do you encrypt your customers files on the web server? Would you feel there is any need to do so? We have psuedo encryption, in that the server encrypts important files that customers do not need access to, but we have access to all user files and the encryption keys. Otherwise we'd have a very hard time making sure Child Pornography stays off our servers.
Will tor get faster or slow to a complete stop? Over time: We have no idea. The network seems to be capable enough as long as people don't host multimedia sites.
In the short term: Yes, Yes, and Yes. You can get a TOR identity that loads at around 10kbps (a quarter of the speed of 56k), and some identities that load pages very quick.
It depends on which TOR nodes you are connected though, sometimes a few ID switches can find a bad connection.
Same goes for onion sites too - if the site is being hosted on nodes that are slow, it doesn't matter how fast your connection is: the site will still be slow until it hops to another connection that is faster.
How did the fall of Silk Road affect the way you ran your business? Well, we never offered our services to the public until after the fall. however the small items (compared to some other vendors, our loss was around 0.5% of what large vendors lost) did make us think twice about using markets.
One of the first markets we assisted with was Budster, although we only deigned the theme. It's a shame the site turned out to be a scammer site.
We no longer sell items on the markets, and the income from web services is enough for us to enjoy our free time with our families and pad our income.
It's also taught us to embrace multisignature escrow in case this happens to another market.
I work with LE dealing with child exploitation and the #1 reason that large, long-term rings continue to operate is solely due to TOR. What most TOR users we've seen do is take a proactive approach - like us, many TOR users will report any sites that depict child exploitation to the host/authorities/etc.
Knowing that giving a backdoor to LE would save dozens, possibly even hundreds of innocent children from current abuse would you still vote against a backdoor just to protect your own privacy? Having a backdoor just for that would be like having a camera in everyones house to make sure of the same. It would save hundreds of children against this crime but at the cost of infringing on the privacy of the innocent.
Is the privacy of 3 million users more important to you than the well being of one hundred children who are being sexually abused right now? Quite the loaded question.
___
We support TOR being anonymous and clear of any backdoors that would result in the users identity being revealed to provide complete anonymity to users.
We do not support murder for hire, child exploitation, or anything that directly results in violence against another person.
What are some of the strangest things you have hosted? We can't say specifically since we do keep client anonymity.
But the most interesting was what turned out to be an ARG. Apparently someone thought it be interesting to draw users into a online game with .onion sites, so they bought a few and without telling us had some very...odd...photos posted. Nothing illegal, just very disturbing.
Grotesque shapes and creatures, although no gore.
Naturally on first thought we halted the site and contacted them when we found it in our monthly audit, and got everything cleared up quite quickly (within a few hours).
While I respect your policy for keeping client data private... That was a year ago, the sites been long gone now. They only paid for 6 months of hosting while it played out.
Anyone wanna PM me the address? I love stuff like this. Not sure what the actual game was, just that when we asked about the gore they showed us their plan and sites.
What's your most usual website requests? Are you using any popular cms or are you developing your own? In your website is see that the subdomain generation takes time and is based on the number of letters can you explain why that's different than a normal subdomain where you have to only update the dns? Most popular seem to be Vendor shops. The generation is for full domains like dpolezbmujmbcqze.onion and dpoletuchcwxcmvc.onion, which require that many different private keys be generated until the script (scallion) finds a matching one. But we do have subdomains working, meaning that you can have something like north.dpolezbmujmbcqze.onion.

[HIRING] Sprite ripper for Saturn Bomberman for the Sega Saturn

Hi! I'm currently in progress of re-creating Saturn Bomberman from the ground up. It's completely for personal use between family - it's a childhood game I want to re-experience online, so no commercial use.
You can find the game fairly easily online - it doesn't play well with emulators right off the bat though. You'll have to download the Pal version of the game and use Pal BIOS for it to run correctly.
Please write here or PM me if you're interested. I'll write a general description here, but we can finalize details together.
A few things:
Regarding pay:
I went through the game and noted (most) of what I need:
I already have:
I may not have listed everything I need here.. there is an awful lot, as you can see. Let me know if there's any other sprite rips (from this game of course) you have/can get and I'll let you know whether I need them and pay accordingly.
Thanks for your time, hope to get this done quickly.
